The Ridge League of Cities is pleased to welcome Florida League of Cities President Greg Ross to our September Membership Dinner Meeting in Haines City.   President Ross grew up in Brooklyn, NY and obtained his B.A. Degree in sociology, from Brooklyn College.  In 1977, he moved to Florida and earned his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Law Center in 1980.  He served as Broward County’s Assistant State Attorney from 1980 to 1984.  He opened his Fort Lauderdale practice in 1984, concentrating in criminal law and personal injury.  He was elected Cooper City Mayor in 2012 and has served as President of the Broward League of Cities.   He was elected FLC 2nd Vice President in 2021, 1st Vice President in 2022, and was appointed President during the August 2023 FLC Conference in Orlando.  He has received the Florida League of Cities Home Rule Hero Award an impressive 9 consecutive years.  President Ross will administer the Oath of Office to the Ridge League of Cities 2023-2024 Board of Directors and Officers.
