Plant City hosted the Ridge League of Cities December Membership Dinner at the Hillsborough Community College Plant City Campus.  The accommodations and room were beautifully decorated for the Christmas season and Second Plate Catering of Plant City provided a fantastic meal.  A total of 160 were in attendance including 115 City Members and 45 Associate Members.  Eighteen (18) of the twenty-four (24) RLC member cities were represented.  Mulberry won the traveling trophy for the cities and our friends at Kimley-Horn and Chastain Skillman tied for the Associate Member trophy. In the spirit of Christmas, the two larger firms agreed to allow one of the newer and smaller firms to take the recognition.  John Banks with Energy Systems Group accepted the trophy and had the opportunity to tell the membership about his company.

The RLC Board of Directors had a brief meeting prior to the Membership Dinner.  The Board voted to continue its partnership with Toys for Tots.   Special thanks to all the attendees at our October Dinner in Winter Haven that brought an unwrapped toy to help less-fortunate children throughout the six counties within the Ridge League.  We look forward to collecting toys again next year!  The initiative suggested by Lake Hamilton Mayor Michael Kehoe was very successful.   Thank you, Ridge League and Toys for Tots!

The evening’s musical program helped get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

It was a fun and enjoyable evening.  Thank you, Plant City!
