The Ridge League of Cities awarded five $1,250 Vocational/Trade Scholarships to graduates from various high schools within our six counties (Polk, Pasco, Highlands, DeSoto, Hardee, and Hillsborough).  Congratulations to the following 2025 RLC Vocational/Trade Scholarship recipients!

Kadin Damron Whitaker graduated from Lake Gibson High School and plans to attend Traviss Technical College seeking certification in fabrication and welding

Joseph Hernandez Sanchez graduated from Discovery High School and plans to attend Ridge Technical College seeking a HVAC certification

Erika Lugo-Gonzalez graduated from Summerlin Military Academy and plans to attend Polk State College and South Florida State College seeking a degree in dental hygiene

Elco Galindo graduated from Lake Region High School and plans to attend South Florida State College seeking a linesman certificate

Jorge Herrera graduated from Ridge Community High School and plans to attend Traviss Technical College seeking a certificate in welding
