Lakeland Commissioner Sara Roberts McCarley was sworn in as the 2025-2026 Ridge League of Cities President on September 16, 2025, at the Membership Dinner Meeting hosted by the City of Lakeland.  She was administered the Oath of Office by Florida League of Cities President and Vice Mayor of Sanibel Holly Smith.  President Roberts McCarley served as RLC Treasurer in 2022-2023, Secretary in 2023-2024, and Vice President in 2024-2025.  Sara’s dad, the late Pete Rust previously served as Ridge League of Cities President in 2011 while serving as Mayor of the City of Davenport.    Best Wishes President Sara Roberts McCarley!
