Ridge League of Cities Executive Director Bobby Green recently moderated a workshop at the Florida League of Cities Annual Conference held in Orlando.  The session titled “Veterans of the Dais: Best Practices from Experienced City Leaders” featured several long-serving elected officials from throughout Florida.  The panel consisted of Dade City Mayor Scott Black (Ridge League), Altamonte Springs Mayor Pat Bates, and Fort Myers Councilwoman Teresa Watkins-Brown.  The goal of the session was to highlight the experience of the elected officials, and to offer practical guidance to newer local officials on the complexities of public office.  The informative session was well attended, including numerous officials from the Ridge League of Cities.
