Fort Walton Beach Police Chief Robert Bage will be the guest speaker at the April Membership Dinner in Lakeland.  The topic for the evening is “Sustainable Code Compliance”.    Chief Bage worked at the North Miami Police Department from 1999 until 2019. During his tenure at the North Miami Police Department, he obtained the rank of Assistant Chief and worked in various units spanning all aspects of law enforcement, but he spent most of his career in Community Policing.   He holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in Psychology and a master’s degree from Barry University in Public Administration.   He also attended the FBI National Academy (session 248), the Police Executive Research Forum’s Senior Management Institute of Policing,  and the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute’s Chief Executive Seminar.  

He is currently the Florida Police Chiefs Association’s 2nd Vice President, the Florida Representative to the State Association of Chiefs of Police (SACOP), a commissioner on the Florida Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission and the chair of the Okaloosa County Health Department’s Community Health Improvement Plan for Healthy Communities.
